Community Involvement

“Many people are good at talking about what they are doing, but in fact do little. Others do a lot but don't talk about it; they are the ones who make a community live.” Jean Vanier

We all have a very personal and vested interest in seeing BWG develop and grow in to a thriving, safe and family-oriented community where we can all live, work and play. I’ve spent many years volunteering on various local committees … committees that I felt truly created a sense of community and this has allowed me to really understand the fabric  of this wonderful place we call home.
I’ve raised my children here, and now have the absolute joy of watching my grandson be raised in this area too. This is our home and community … it’s important to me, it’s important to you and it is very important to those we call family!

The following are just a few of the amazing committees/groups that I’ve had the honour to be part of in our strong efforts to “Build An Even Better Bradford West Gwillimbury”:

 Bradford Community Clean-Up Day (Volunteer)
Bradford Lions Club (Past President & Member)
Bradford Minor Hockey (Coach and Volunteer)
The BWG Santa Claus Parade Committee (Fundraiser and Volunteer)
The BWG Accessibility Advisory Committee (Member)
The BWG Active Transportation/Recreation Committee (Member)
The BWG Arts & Culture Advisory Committee (Chairperson)
The BWG Downtown Revitalization Committee (Member)
The BWG Economic Development Advisory Committee (Chairperson)
The BWG Fire and Emergency Services Committee (Chairperson)
The BWG Seniors Housing Committee (Chairperson)
